A: I think I'd most like to share with you the great loves in my life: places, music, books, experiences. I love to live life passionately and I love partners who will respond to that passion with passion of their own.
Now, if you want the details of what exactly I'd share, all you have to do is message me and set up that date on the beach!
A: It's far from a unique experience, especially within our community, but I've experienced an addiction. It wreaked havoc on my health and the quality of my connections.
Overcoming that addiction has been the struggle of a lifetime, but the rewards have been correspondingly huge. It may seem surprising, but participating here on this site has been an important part of my recovery. It's been a chance to regain the full range of sensual experiences. It's given me vastly improved performance. And it's been a huge boost to my confidence.
Best of all: I get to share the results of all my effort with you.
Incidentally, anyone who thinks addiction may be affecting the quality of his life is welcome to contact me.
A: By literally running that extra mile! One practice that I incorporate into every day of my life is to challenge myself to do something difficult each and every day, usually something that I don't want to do in the immediate moment, but that I'll be glad I did after it's done. One favorite example is to get out and do a hike to the top of Piestewa Peak or Camelback Mountain here in Phoenix.
That's a spirit that I love to bring to my encounters as well. What can I do to push myself, and perhaps even my partners, just a little bit further? Where can we go that we've never been to before? What fantastic memories can we create together?
A: My personal development is very important to me. That includes, obviously, time spent training in the gym and outdoors. But I also take time to work on my spiritual development as well, which I cultivate through practices like yoga and meditation. It's also very important to me to be active in my recovery community, where I have many of my friends.
A: Like many gay men, the process of coming out of the closet played a huge role in my moral development as a man. Recognizing that I was gay called for both honesty and acceptance on my part. Recognizing the need to come out of the closet to family and friends took courage and integrity. Serving in the Army in my twenties and fighting for the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell took gallantry and mettle.
These are all classical manly virtues. Physical strength and endurance are important traits to me, but my moral character is more important still. With me, you will have true, healthy—not toxic—masculinity, forged in experiences over the course of a lifetime.
A: One thing that I'm absolutely adamant about is taking the safety of my clients seriously. I've been HIV+ for over twenty years and keep myself up to date on the latest research. I'm happy to report that my viral load is undetectable, meaning that I'm unable to transmit HIV to anyone. If you want, we can take the time to go over all the ways to protect yourself for HIV and other STIs, including PrEP, U=U, condoms, PEP and so forth.
My aim is to empower you to make healthy decisions for yourself not just with me but with anyone else you might encounter in the future.
For the same reason, I keep myself drug and alcohol free for all of my clients. You can rest assured that when we meet up, I will be performing at my very best for you and will absolutely respect any boundaries that you set with me.
Your health and safety are my top priority.
A: That I spent over five years on active duty in the US Army serving as a light infantryman. My recruiter described the job as, "running through the woods with a rifle in your hands," but it's a lot more than that. Our job was to close with and destroy enemy by fighting on foot. It's one of the toughest, least glamorous, most dangerous jobs in the military. I was a grunt and I absolutely loved it.
My life really blossomed thanks to my Army service. I went from being a shy, quiet, nerdy, unathletic kid into being the confident man I am today. I got to do things in the Army that I'd never dreamed of doing as a teenager, like combat parachuting, rappelling from helicopters, or destroying a vehicle with an anti-tank weapon. And it made me into a leader. When I left the service, I was a staff sergeant, commanding a nine-man infantry squad.
It certainly had its downsides. I served under Don't Ask, Don't Tell and was eventually discharged under its provisions. I later worked to help get that unjust law repealed. But there is nothing in my life that I have done that I'm prouder of than my military service.
A: There are a ton of very attractive, younger men on here. That's not me. I've had thirty years or more to get very, very good at what I do. If you want a real man who exudes confidence and who will dominate the room, then you want me. If you want someone who has and is living life to the fullest, then you want me. If you want someone who's made his bad decisions in life and roared right back from them, then you definitely want me.
A: I don't subscribe to a particular diet. I do my best to avoid anything highly processed and eat plenty of fruits and vegetables while avoiding as much sugar as I can.
As far as my workouts go, weightlifting is the center of my routine, but I also enjoy a lot of hiking out in the beautiful Arizona desert. I practice yoga every day without fail. I also have gotten into CrossFit and incorporate other cardiovascular activities like running or swimming.
I am available as a personal trainer, especially for men around my own age or older who are looking to help ward off some of the effects of aging. They say exercise is the fountain of youth! I can certainly attest to its benefits for myself.
A: Good friends, good food, good travels, good music, and great sex!
A: I absolutely love getting out into nature. Phoenix has been blessed with some truly amazing city parks that offer great hiking opportunities. I also love to jump in the car and head out of town to go and camp under the stars.
A: I've enjoyed reading and travel since I was a little kid. In my spare time I enjoy hiking around and enjoying the desert. I like cooking, especially on those rare occasions I can do up a big multi-course meal for several people. I get into fitness, especially running (I like 5ks) and weightlifting.
A: I love travel, especially road trips. Anything from five star accommodations to camping in a tent, but the best places to stay are those off-the-beaten-path special locations that won't give you just the standard Hilton excellence.
Ask me for suggestions if you're coming to visit!
A: You mean besides the fact I stand 6'4"?
I genuinely enjoy getting to know the men that I meet. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's a delight when we can sit down and chat for a bit when we meet.
A: There are several!
By far the best decision I made was when I enlisted in the Army at the age of 23. I learned a lot in the five years I served, including the value of discipline, hard work, physical fitness, and even an appreciation for the outdoors.
My most recent big achievement was completion of my master's degree in medieval studies. I'm an historian by training and really enjoyed getting a chance to study a time I find fascinating.
Some of my best overall experiences are the opportunities I've had to travel along with family or friends. I especially love to visit Europe.
A: I love the wide range of experiences that I've been able to enjoy with my life so far. I've traveled widely, lived in several really great cities, and have done work ranging from being an infantryman and a squad leader in the Army to driving a tractor trailer all over the country to working with medieval manuscripts.
I absolutely love the liberty being a gay man has allowed me, free from social expectations and rules. Ours is a community that encourages experimentation. I also believe that my life experiences as a gay man have given me some insight into what other minorities experience, giving me more empathy and understanding when relating to others.
