RentMen:
Tell us about the best experience you have had in life.
Attilah:
Hard to name one! I collect them all, and am proudly a "hoarder" of great experiences, however if pressed: a long, slow summer back in Portugal, the kind where time stops behaving. It's funny how much I used to hate a summer like this growing up... We have a word that has no translation into any other language: "saudade", and we use it to best express that feeling of longing that's somehow sweet. A memory that despite being perhaps distant now and therefore wrapped in a thin blanked of sadness, also comes brings a sense of warmth to the heart to contemplate and to remember. Almost a cathartic experience. My best experiences all carry it: completely present, and already aching that they'll end. I try to give the people I meet a small dose of exactly that.
RentMen:
What kind of diet and fitness regimen do you follow?
Attilah:
I eat the way Europeans do: I have real food, I don't rush my meals (or at least try not to), I enjoy a good glass of wine when paired correctly, although I don't drink anything I cannot pronounce. My personal philosophy is that the body is something to be built and maintained, never something to be apologised for... and you can rest assured I work on mine so that it is made to be touched...
RentMen:
What are your lifestyle specifics that makes who you are?
Attilah:
Balanced. I work hard, practice sport (squash) regularly, travel when I can, and make time for the people and experiences that actually matter.
RentMen:
What do you enjoy most about yourself?
Attilah:
Difficult to answer, although I would say my intensity as well as my capacity to put myself in other’s shoes. When I’m present with someone, they feel it, and I always pay attention to details most people miss.
