A: Chicken sandwiches, hugs, a comfy bean bag chair, the internet (i mean it's true), and sharing food with others :)
A: BIG HEART and a BIG OL THING between my legs to match lol. Nah but for real definitely you have to know that I don't take life too seriously. I love people and I love joking around :)
A: Sounds weird, but anxiety. Anxiety and dealing with panic have given me so much empathy for others that I really cherish and value. Anytime those feelings come up, I'm reminded that everybody is living a unique life with their own unique struggles, always experiencing a different state of emotions. As uncomfortable as anxiety can be, I am thankful for it in that aspect :)
A: Technology is definitely present in a lot of my work life, so I've tried moving all my fun stuff to things outside of that. It doesn't have to be anything crazy, but simple stuff like going to cafes to read, walking in the park, and hanging out with friends. I can absolutely be a homebody, but I try to really motivate myself to get outside so I don't die from vitamin D deficiency LOL
A: Travel can be sooo expensive. Like, I know there are cheap ways to do it, but man, (call me high maintenance if you like), I like sleeping in a hotel bed rather than camping out in my car lol. If I COULD travel more, I'd absolutely do it. I'd go everywhere. I think that travel is an experience like no other--it really just gives you a sense of the world and lets you meet so many different people, even if you're just existing around them.
A: I don't really understand this question lol. Is it asking me what I would say to you? Or like what you would tell me? Either way, I feel like as sensual drinking wine and having a picnic at the beach seems in fantasy, it's just a bad idea. Next thing you know somebody playing volleyball or going for a run accidentally kicks sand in your general direction, and now there are little particles swimming in the wine glasses and granules all over the food. And then you have to fight off the seagulls, and when you're trying to look at the person next to you the sun is blaring in your eyes like an oncoming Ford truck with its brights on at 2am. I love walking on the beach though!!
A: Oh man, there is a lot of stuff I enjoy, and I'm always mad that the human lifespan isn't longer so I get to do more. I love going for walks around the city, either in nature preserves or just through different neighborhoods, taking in stuff around me. Cooking and baking are always fun, but man groceries for any complicated recipes are getting expensive these days lol. Reading books, watching movies, creating goofy little crafts, playing basketball, learning new skills, socializing (when I can), and playing some videogames. If you are able to teach me a skill or apprentice me god you better be careful cause I might just fall in love LOL. I'm always desperate to learn something new from somebody who knows what they're doing and can really show me <3
A: Honestly I don't have any specific regimen. I'm a firm believer that if you empathize with yourself and reduce the power that harsh internal voice has over you, that a healthier relationship with food and exercise will follow. The prescribed orders from society, examples being "lose weight" "don't eat this or else" "you're a fat tub of lard who should be ashamed of who they are" have the opposite intended effect, and when they do motivate only end up creating cycles of self-hatred if any health goals are met. I can't count the number of times I've tried that harsh internal critic strategy society encourages, and ended up just binging trays of cookies or sweets a week after starting a diet born from self-loathing (or days). Now, I'm easy on myself. I let that voice do it's own thing, and just live within my values of my health, exercising in ways that I like, and eating in ways that are approachable and doable :)
A: Happiness is really a scam, if I had to be honest. It's not that I dont think happiness and peace are great emotional experiences, but they are just one section of life's entire tapestry. To me a life fully lived is one woven with uncomfortable emotions as well as comfortable ones; to do anything we care about means experiencing anxiety, pleasure, sadness, grief, excitement, warmth, worry, and more. Society constantly told me that I needed to be happy, satisfied, and content all the time, but, in reality, that's just not realistic. Human beings are dynamic creatures who change all the time, which means we're going to experience a ton of different things. What really, really drives me is doing the things that I care about and connecting with people, all while acting as the person that I want to be, without judgement or harsh criticism. I try my best to live within my values of empathy, connection, care, and fun :))
A: My room is funky. It's comfortable and cozy, but I do like my goofy decor. I have lots of custom posters and lamps!! As for personal, in the past 3-4 years I lost over 100 pounds, which was a very changing experience, to say the least. It has definitely affirmed my values on body positivity, and gives me an inside perspective on what it feels like to bigger and how society treats fatter body types. Basically: I’ve been there. If you’re chubby, overweight, feeling ugly, etc. just know that one of my key values is body acceptance. I find all bodies genuinely attractive–in fact, I’m usually more attracted to bigger body types, and that doesn’t just mean dad bod. I genuinely enjoy much bigger stomachs, thighs, etc. all the parts of yourself you might find ugly I will appreciate a LOT. It’s one of the reasons I really really love what I do, because I get to see so many types of people, bodies, and personalities. I get to really sexually and emotionally enjoy a full range of human beings and care for them as they are, and vice versa. I know the self-hatred for your body can be intense, a but just know that with me you will always be genuinely viewed as sexually attractive <3 :)
A: My values are critical to who I am as a person. I value humanitarianism, empathy, playfulness, and connection. These four things guide pretty much every decision I make, and how I exist. I try to be present with people and give space to my thoughts and feelings--experience and being in it is what matters most. I don't really see a good or bad binary in the world either: everything is it's own experience, and what it really comes down to is just being there for it, uncomfortable or not. I also am very, VERY non-judgemental. I'm loving of all body types, personalities, senses of humor, tastes, etc. and view every human being as someone with needs they want to get met. If there is any conflict, I always try and empathize with the other person, seeing them as the full human they are. This doesn't mean I am spineless or don't set boundaries (I do), but I do not do it out of malice--just out of willingness and listening to my needs.
A: This is a tough question because the human brain is the world's best critic, but I'd say my love of learning. I adore understanding and practicing new skills, whether it's cooking, tech, exercise, or whatever it may be. I just want to practice things always. You ever get that sadness that comes on because you realize you won't have enough time to learn all the possible languages in the world, or cook every meal? Me too. It's part of the human condition, but man I wish I had more time to understand stuff. There are just so many movies to watch, books to read, TV shows to enjoy--there aren't enough years for it all. I've made my peace with it, but sometimes I just really wish I could visit every cafe in the world at least once.
