A: I’m a NYT Cooking subscriber, so I love trying out recipes at dinner time for the people I love. I really, really enjoy cooking — I’m that freak who brings his own cooking knives over because he doesn’t trust yours. Seeing people go to pieces over a meal that I made just makes me indescribably happy — I think cooking for others is one of the purest ways to spread joy!
Other fun things — I like to go upstate and hike some mountain trails whenever I can get away. Just existing in nature really is such a balm. I’m big on reading and films, and my ideal date is probably strolling around a good art museum and poking fun at the pieces we hate and calling out the pieces we love.
A: The gawky honors student version of me would be shocked to see me now — but I try to do at minimum a four-day split at the gym: chest & triceps, back & biceps, shoulders, and legs. On a good week, I also add a second leg day and a dedicated arm day, as well as a short core & cardio session. What can I say — I try to look good for you guys!
In terms of diet, I try to at least consume 0.7g of protein per pound of my body weight daily, although sometimes I get closer to the full gram. I’m not terribly draconian with my diet otherwise; I just do my best to generally be mindful about what I’m eating day to day. If I splurge on Shakeshack and a few dollar ($1.50??) slices one night, I might pare back my intake the next day slightly, but I won’t beat myself up over it. Food is one of my greatest joys, and I won’t last two seconds if I take that away from myself!
A: I think what I enjoy most in myself — and perhaps by consequence, in other people — is my curiosity. I think genuine curiosity and openness are the true hallmarks of intelligence. I love learning new things about the world, the people around me, and even myself — every day. I believe that the day we stop being curious is the day we begin to die.
As such, I’m always excited to try new things and am open to new experiences 😘
A: I want my readers to know that I genuinely adore my clients. If you come to me with an open spirit in the pursuit of intimacy, connection, and pleasure, I promise to deliver on all fronts. It is not an exaggeration to say that every person I meet is special and lovely in their own individual way, and it is always a privilege for me to get to know you and learn how to meet your needs such that you leave feeling like the best, most fulfilled version of yourself.
A: I actually don’t love traveling, although I consider it essential to expanding horizons and developing character. I try to get out of New York at least once every three months, but the honest truth is that there’s no bed I’d rather sleep in than my own, ha!
A: I spent fifteen years training as a classical pianist but decided at the last second not to go to conservatory — but piano’s still an important part of my life! Whenever I need to get something out of my system, I sit down at my keyboard and reach back through the years for a snippet of Rachmaninov or Debussy.
Never thought I’d say it, but I actually enjoy working out now. I was such a nerdy little bookworm my whole life, and I still am! Whenever I have a chance I’ll still curl up with some James Baldwin or Jane Austen (Mansfield Park is my highly controversial favorite) but exercise has gone from a necessary evil to a meditative opportunity for me to clear my mind. For at least sixty minutes at the gym, I’m too preoccupied with physical pain to think about my actual problems!
